In this role you will be actively participate in the following items:
1.
Order Verification:
Review order lists, picking lists, or packing slips to cross-reference products, quantities, and any special instructions to ensure accuracy.
2.
Product Inspection:
Physically inspect items for defects, damages, or discrepancies before packaging.
Notify manager of any issues discovered.
3.
Packing and Labeling:
Properly package products according to established guidelines, ensuring that packaging materials are intact and appropriate for the items.
Apply accurate labels and shipping documentation.
4.
Quantity Control:
Count and verify quantities of items to be packed against the order list to ensure that the correct quantity is packed in each order.
Photograph all outgoing orders.
5.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of checked orders, noting any deviations, damages, or discrepancies.
Document any findings and report them to the appropriate department.
6.
Communication:
Collaborate with warehouse team members, pickers, packers, and managers to ensure a smooth flow of orders and timely resolution of any discrepancies.
7.
Quality Assurance:
Implement quality control measures to maintain a high standard of accuracy and order fulfillment.
Identify trends or recurring issues and propose solutions for improvement.
8.
Timely Processing:
Ensure that orders are checked and processed within specified time frames to meet shipping deadlines and customer expectations.
9.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Follow company policies and industry regulations related to order processing and fulfillment.
10.
Inventory Management:
Assist in periodic inventory counts and stock checks to reconcile discrepancies and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a warehouse, order checking, or quality control role is preferred.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift items for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for data entry and record keeping.
Must have own transportation.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Familiarity with warehouse operations, safety protocols, and inventory management.
